One of the first challenges was the original layout. The patio had two support columns that were going to break up the space and make it feel cramped. To open things up, we removed those two columns and replaced them with one single column at the far end of the patio. This change gave the family a wide, open feel and allowed for better use of the space without visual obstructions.

Custom Outdoor Kitchen and Modern Features

The new patio cover extension provides plenty of shaded space and blends seamlessly with the home’s design. A highlight of this project is the custom-built outdoor kitchen, perfectly designed for hosting weekend cookouts and family gatherings.

We also installed recessed lighting and ceiling fans, ensuring comfort and functionality day or night. To complete the project, we finished the floors with a spray deck coating. Not only does this give the concrete a modern and attractive look, but it also makes the surface cooler and slip-resistant—perfect for busy family life and entertaining.
